The NCS High School Softball team faced some of Mississippi, Tennessee, and Alabama’s best high schools softball teams this week in Gulf Shores Alabama. The Lady Eagles looked very good and should feel good about starting district play this coming Monday against a tough opponent East Robertson. East Robertson also played well in the Gulf Shores Tournament and this Monday’s game should be a good game to watch.
After 2 days of pool play the Lady Eagles were ranked 16th out of 56 teams. Wednesday after beating Opelika a large 6A school located close to Auburn AL, we lost to a very strong Dothan team. Hoover out of Birmingham ended up beating Bob Jones for the championship.
